Level 4 Mission running with a Dominix

How to run level 4 missions with a Dominix. This includes a setup and a general guide.




Here is your basic setup, feel free to modify it to your own preference.

HIGH SLOTS
2x 425mm Railgun
2x Drone Link Augmenter
2x Small Tractor Beams

(also bring two Heavy Nosferatu's and/or two Heavy Energy Neutralizers)

MEDIUM SLOTS
5x Cap Recharger II

(also bring a 100mn Afterburner)

LOW SLOTS
2x Large Armor Repairer
2x Kinetic Hardener
2x Thermal Hardener
1x 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates

(also bring two Explosive Hardeners, one EM Hardener, and one Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane. If you can't perma-tank with both repairers yet then replace the 1600mm plate with a Capacitor Power Relay.)

RIGS
3x Capacitor Control Circuit

DRONES
5+ lights
5+ mediums
5+ heavys
5+ sentrys

(I will normally carry 8-10 drones of each damage type
and size, you could get away with just carrying Kinetics and EMs)

Check the damage types dealt and suggested damage type to deal. Against Mercenaries and Angels you can get away with a Kin/Therm tank but be careful not all the missions are the same and they may be dealing more EM on certain missions.

For tanking against all damage types use the following setup.

LOW SLOTS
2x Large Armor Repairer
1x Kinetic Hardener
1x Thermal Hardener
1x Explosive Hardener
1x Energize Adaptive Nano Membrane
1x 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates


Be sure to look over the IGB site thoroughly before accepting any mission.

Some missions like 'The Assault' have a unique enemy AI and they can perma-jam you and perma-scamble you. So make sure you can perma-tank with both repairers before attemping this. This mission also has a high DPS so 1600mm plates is a must.

Some missions you will end up with a boss with very good shield boosting... IF you are using T1 drones still you will have problem dealing enough damage. Either get some help to kill him off or dock and switch on your Afterburner and some Heavy Nosferatu or Energy Neutralizers. Get in range and drain his capacitor so his shield tank will fail. This might take awhile.

Why Small Tractor Beams? I personally like to gather up the wrecks and loot them, I also pile them up while I make my slow approach to the Acceleration Gate so that when I come in after with my Salvager I can salvage quickly.

MAKING MONEY, Looting everyting and salvaging everything can generate SOOO much more ISK then not doing this. For example, the last mission I did i got 7 Mega Beam Lasers, each selling a little over a million, and enough salvage to build a Rig worth around 17 million. In other missions I have gotten skill books worth around 20 million and other rare drops. So LOOT! and if you dont already, fit a salvager.
